  Winnemucca Rodeo Update
     The new Jr. Miss Rodeo Winnemucca 2009, Deanna Pasquale, and Princess Rodeo Winnemucca, Kali Gerhard, were awarded their titles immediately preceding the Sunday performance of the Labor Day Rodeo at the Winnemucca Events Complex.
     The 2009 contestants (Kali Gerhard) won 3rd place in the Labor Day Parade in downtown Winnemucca in the Mounted Group category.
     Jr. Miss Rodeo Winnemucca, and Miss Rodeo Winnemucca won 3rd and first, respectively, in the single mounted category.
     The Merrick Family won 2nd in the mounted group category.
     Royalty in the grand entries included: Ashley Angus, Miss Rodeo Winnemucca 08; Heather Smith, Jr. Miss Rodeo Winnemucca 08; Deanna Pasquale, Jr Miss Rodeo Winnemucca 09; Princess Rodeo Winnemucca 09, Kali Gerhard; Karysa Perez, Teen Miss Rodeo Nevada; Maclyn Crnkovich, McDermitt Jr. Rodeo Queen; Madison Montero, Winnemucca Jr. Rodeo Queen.
     Pat O'Malley & Slash T Rodeo Co. produced the rodeo again this year, and it was highly entertaining for a large group of spectators both nights.
     Pat Himmelreich sang the National Anthem at both performances; she was absolutely awesome.
