I have been a teacher of DUI, acronym for
Driving Under the Influence, since 1989. We
founded the school at that time after I had completed two years apprenticing with Ralph's DUI School. My partner during start-up was Steve Raabe and that is the significance
of the "R's". They stand for Raabe, Raabe & Ron, i.e. Steve, wife Janell, and my husband Ron. This is a highly successful education program with emphasis on moderation and adapting a positive lifestyle
while learning from experience. The
philosophy of the curriculum has changed from the beginning as the issue itself has evolved world-wide. Issues like celebrity arrests and fatalities locally, nationally & world-wide have contributed to the
changes. Other philosophy's are 'Your
Second Chance' or 'The Basics of Education'. 'Driving
Under the Influence' is a misdemeanor; however first offenders are not bad people they just made a bad decision. This eight hour class is offered in the evening and dates are adapted to the variety of schedules required
in the community today. Call for
a class schedule if is not posted here immediately upon leaving the court to get the best possible accommodations.
